"Othello" is a semi-puppet performance of the Tbilisi Youth Theater for young adults and 18+ audiences. The stage directors -Gia Marghania and Dimitri Khvtisiashvili, are also responsible for the adapted version of the play - the performance, which is a synthesis of puppetry and live action, is performed in one act (60 min). The Tbilisi premiere of "Othello" took place in October 2022, the performance was dedicated to the 150th anniversary of famous Georgian theatre director Kote Marjanishvili and the 115th anniversary of artist and stage designer Petre Otkheli. Both the puppets and the decoration are made according to Petre Otkheli's sketches, which the artist created for Kote Marjanishvili's "Othello" almost a century ago.
